Waushakum Pond Cleanup May 18, 2019
Pleased to announce the lake clean up was a success. We had about 18 volunteers (thank you to all who could make it). We collected so many different pieces of trash which included tires, a boat, some drifting wood, rug (yes rug|), more various items, and many, many plastic bags. Thank you to the town of Framingham for picking up all our finds!
Moving forward we hope to make this a yearly event. However, if you see anything in the meantime, please don’t be shy. Pick it up, or call on a neighbor. It takes a team to keep the lake clean.
It’s unfortunate that we have so many people willing to dump their trash (especially from the road on 126), but it is a problem and we can only do our best to keep on top of it.
