Lake Association Meeting Minutes

MEETING MINUTES:

MEETING WAS HELD AT BURNAMS, PLEASANT ST. ASHLAND AT 6:30 PM

● Meeting was called to order at 6:44 PM

● Meeting minutes from September 26, 2018 were read and accepted. Motion was made by Matt Garland and seconded by Neil Chyten.

● Treasurer Rob Slowik informed us of his resignation due to work related issues. The resignation was accepted and approved. Nominations and elections will be held at a special call meeting on June 13,2019 at 6:30PM (Location TBD).

● Steve Collins was recognized for creating our website (https://www.waushakumpond.com/) which all can access association bylaws, minutes, calendar of events, etc.

● Nick Iarussi spoke in regards to the two grants we may be eligible for. We will be working with Framingham and Ashland Conservation to pursue. Steve also spoke about the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness program. Anyone with interest to assist in gathering information about the MVP grant please contact the board.

● Rob Slowik spoke about the 501C3 for non profit association. More information will be needed to open an account, allowing us to accept donations and collect dues.

● Spoke about Framingham Conservation/Solitude notifying the board prior to any lake treatments, so proper notification to the public can be given.

● We are having a pond clean up day scheduled for May 18, 2019 at 10:30AM. Motion was made by Matt Garland, seconded by Rob Slowik. Notification for the event will be sent prior.

● During open discussion, members spoke about concerns for the litter along route 126, and how to help prevent future issues. Also, question about why our great pond is not listed on the mass.gov website. We discussed contacting mass.gov to find out the reason.
